ACTS 2 ACTING ACADEMY

6 WEEK COURSE | 1 ON 1 CLASSES | All AGES | FOR THE STORYTELLERS

Inspired by real industry experience and conservatory-style training—including study at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts—this program distills years of acting education into a focused and creative environment where actors can explore character, storytelling, and emotional truth.

Train the actor. Tell the story. Step into the scene.

Jump Into an On-Camera Scene

Students will film a professionally shot, simple scene using a multi-camera setup, providing high-quality footage for your reel and a training experience on set. This project is designed to reflect real industry standards and can be submitted for IMDb credit.

If you don’t already have an IMDb account, we’ll guide you through setting one up.

Creative Partnership In The Pacific Northwest

Acts 2, in partnership with Rayla Kay Photography, provides a focused studio space where actors train through practical exercises, scene study, audition preparation, and on-camera performance.

Students join from across North Idaho and Eastern Washington—including Hayden, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Rathdrum, and Spokane—to build a strong foundation for long-term growth as performers.

A Different Kind of Acting Training

Acts 2 Acting Academy is designed for actors and actresses who want more than the typical theater class. It’s a focused, professional training environment built to bridge the gap between learning and actually working—giving actors the tools, experience, and confidence to step into the industry with clarity.

Through scene work, mock auditions, and on-camera training, students learn how to create truthful performances for both stage and screen while developing confidence, clarity, and skill in their craft.

Over the six-week intensive, students act with partners in scene work, refine a strong audition piece, and film personalized scripted scenes with multi-camera coverage.

This gives students real experience performing on camera and helps them begin building material for a professional demo reel.

  • Actors need more than complicated methods and vague ideas to grow in their craft. They need a place to practice, experiment, and develop their skills with clear direction in a supportive environment.

Our Method — Where Technique Meets Story

Great acting isn’t about guessing or hoping something works—it’s about having a clear, repeatable approach.

Our method strips away the mystery and gives you practical tools you can use in every scene. By focusing on intention, action, and storytelling, you’ll build performances that feel natural, grounded, and truly watchable.

  • Great acting isn’t magic—and it isn’t reserved for a gifted few. At its core, acting is intentional human behavior in pursuit of a clear objective under imaginary circumstances. Acting is a skill that can be trained, practiced, and repeated.

  • We train actors to do, not just feel. Instead of chasing emotion, you’ll learn to pursue clear actions—affecting the person or situation in front of you. From that place, real, truthful emotion naturally emerges.

  • When you understand what you want in a scene and how you’re going after it, your performance becomes clear, grounded, and alive. This approach gives you a repeatable system so you can step into any scene with confidence and tell the story with intention.

What You Walk Away With

By the end of the six weeks, actors walk away with practical, repeatable tools they can rely on long after the course ends, while also learning and taking their first steps into the industry. You won’t just understand the concepts—you’ll know how to apply them in real scenes, auditions, and on set.

With a clear process built around objectives, tactics, and action phrases, you’ll be able to confidently break down material, make strong choices, and begin building momentum as a working actor.

The 6 Week Acting Intensive Course

This six-week intensive introduces both the creative and technical sides of performance.

Students explore:

  • What acting actually is (and why it’s often overcomplicated)

  • How to break down scripts using Objectives, Obstacles, Tactics, Stakes

  • How to create believable behavior instead of forcing emotion

  • How to approach performance from the audience’s perspective

  • How to take your first steps into the industry—building a reel, navigating casting platforms, and approaching auditions with clarity and confidence

The Core Principle

Tactic + Object = Objective

A simple, repeatable action phrase that gives actors a clear way to work in every scene.

  • Understanding objectives, tactics, obstacles, and stakes

  • A strong monologue or scene ready for casting opportunities

  • Real practice through filmed scenes and mock auditions

  • Multi-camera filmed scenes for future use

  • Insight into casting platforms and expectations

  • Greater clarity, freedom, and confidence in performance
